Report on Bay Flooding and Erosion
in the South Shore Estuary Reserve

 

 

The South Shore Estuary Reserve (Reserve) Office and the New York State Department of State, Division of Coastal Resources prepared a report titled: Bay Flooding and Erosion in the Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve: Findings and Recommendations, completed in 2005 . Based on a survey of local governments and park agencies with jurisdiction of bay shorelines that was conducted by the Reserve Office, the report investigates and documents current understanding and mitigation strategies for addressing the hazards posed by bay flooding and erosion in Reserve communities.
