A major objective of the
Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve Comprehensive
Management Plan (CMP) is to heighten utilization, public awareness and stewardship
of the estuary's natural, cultural, recreational, economic and educational resources.
As one means of advancing this objective we are updating our existing
Directory of Educational Resources which is currently available on our website.
We are interested in listing physical facilities within the estuary that can
provide
experiences consistent with the topics
and outcomes of the CMP. The updated
Directory will also
include individuals and organizations which possess the appropriate
knowledge and experience to provide presentations on a variety of topics related
to the South Shore Estuary Reserve. This presenters list will be organized organized
by
topic. We envision interest in several levels of presentations as indicated
on
the registration form. Please provide all of the requested information so that
an
appropriate selection can be made. Multiple copies of the speaker section can
be
submitted for different presentations. The form enclosed
can be completed on your
computer, printed and then faxed to the office at 516 378 2879 or they can be
mailed to my attention at the address below.
As a unique organization
or individual we hope that you will submit an application.
All applications will be reviewed by the office prior to posting on the SSER
website.
