Mission: To provide educational, hands-on, outdoor, and environmental field experiences that complement school curricula.

Target Audience: School districts, students K-12, and teachers.

Facility Description: Visitor and education centers in outdoor settings, including parks, school yards, ponds, beaches, and forests throughout Long Island.

Facilities for People with Special Needs: Programs can be adapted for those with special needs.

Types of Programs and Resources Offered: Curriculum materials, educational programs for the public (through district PTA), educational programs for school groups, tours, field trips, in-school programs, and teacher training.

Topics Addressed: Oceanography, seashore studies (bay and ocean comparisons), estuarine and marine ecology/biology, water monitoring, and Long Island geology.
